There are reports circulating that dogs and cats can contract and transmit COVID-19. We’ve done extensive research and talked to our veterinarian friends to give our customers condensed information on this matter.
It is true that some dogs have tested positive for having the virus. The positive results are very infrequent and you shouldn’t be worried about your furry friends having it. If you think your pet might have the virus or is showing signs of being sick, take them to a veterinary hospital. You also don’t need to worry about getting the virus from your pet. Dogs are not able to transmit the virus. Veterinarians with the American Kennel Club have made it clear that you can still pet and walk your dogs without risk. Just make sure to follow CDC guidelines to protect yourself when leaving the house and wash your hands for 20 seconds after taking your dog on a walk.

With more and more states implementing shelter in place guidelines, animal shelters across the nation have seen massive increases in adoptions. People know that since they’re stuck at home, it’s the perfect time to adopt a new furry friend because they can spend almost all their time keeping an eye on their new pup and make sure it gets trained well and effectively. We’d like to offer some tips for the new puppy parents out there!
Make sure you have proper supplies to care for your pet. This includes kennel/crate, food and water bowls, potty pads, a collar and leash (make sure it has your current address and phone number on it), toys, treats for training, and the right food. Some dogs can be sensitive to foods, just like humans! Be sure to watch for your dog not eating, eating small amounts, throwing up food, or abnormal bowel movements. These could be signs that you need to try a different food. Don’t be afraid to do research or call your local veterinarian for guidance or ideas on how to properly care for your dog. We know this is a difficult time for everyone, and Covid 19 is a very serious matter. We would like to offer help to anyone who needs supplies they cannot afford for their lovely furry friends. Please reach out and call our local office at 509-555-5555, we will do whatever we can for you. We are doing the best we can to help the animals of the Pullman community. Pay for Paws is an idea that stemmed from the adoption of animals. To rent a dog for the day, you have to come in and receive a background check, then once that is finished there will be a rental agreement. Once everything is set in a contract, there will be a list of dogs you can choose to rent.
Another benefit to this company is the support it has for Pullmans local humane society. The structure of renting the dogs also helps with adoption. After a certain amount of rentals, there is an opportunity to adopt. There are also donations for our charity, Proceeds for Pups. All around, Pay for Paws is a company that supports Pullmans furry friends by providing people with the chance to get to know and adopt dogs. |
