There are reports circulating that dogs and cats can contract and transmit COVID-19. We’ve done extensive research and talked to our veterinarian friends to give our customers condensed information on this matter.
It is true that some dogs have tested positive for having the virus. The positive results are very infrequent and you shouldn’t be worried about your furry friends having it. If you think your pet might have the virus or is showing signs of being sick, take them to a veterinary hospital. You also don’t need to worry about getting the virus from your pet. Dogs are not able to transmit the virus. Veterinarians with the American Kennel Club have made it clear that you can still pet and walk your dogs without risk. Just make sure to follow CDC guidelines to protect yourself when leaving the house and wash your hands for 20 seconds after taking your dog on a walk.
